The expression curve of certain feelings
At times definition could be limited to acknowledgement of feelings to oneself - they need not be conveyed outside of the boundaries of one's mind. Not in all cases, not with certain kind of people who aren't as expressive or don't feel the need to be.
As feelings or emotions become more intense they tend to assume concrete existence in the mind and might be expressed in various ways. In word and/or action.
So expression in some way is guaranteed.
Some feelings however tend to become so intense that they begin to become intrinsic to a person's formation. They sink deeper in the mind, beyond reach of the intellect which can define, articulate and analyse them. They no longer wish themselves to be expressed and transcend the levels of intellectual control.
Probably such are never in the order of anything the human intellect or reason may hope to control.
Do they in the first place appear deep within the recesses of the mind, not sinking deeper but rising upwards on occasion to make their presence felt?
Love being the case in point.

Ways of conversation
Interaction between people often ends up being only partially efficient. Something like a force applied tangentially to a point so that it is not effective to its entire capacity.
Some people tend to have pre-defined questions about any topic and drive a conversation on the lines of their curiosity. They miss out on other information or insight the other party may have to offer. So focused are they upon prior thoughts and requirements out of a conversation that they literally filter out anything outside of the topic, override all conversation and try to push their will forward.
Some people are the opposite and let the other party drive the conversation - they choose to be only listeners (hearers?). While this could be deliberate as well as required at times e.g. when collecting feedback or pretending interest, when unintentional or done out of habit this fails to add any stimulation to a conversation. Might as well have been in an email? But even email can get interactive.
And there are those who seek as well as hear and also make interaction stimulating by their questions and responses. This definitely holds scope for surprise so both parties have to be attentive and careful. Requires some effort of the grey cells, have the almonds handy.

Thought, expression and perception
Some people don't express all of what they mean to say in words. And some don't say what they really mean.
y = x would be ideal where you didn't have to derive or interpret or use any perceptive faculties to understand what the other person might intend to convey. The listener's responsibility to ensure correct communication increases with m as less is spoken in the communication - and so a lot depends upon the capability of the listener. A reducing value of m, whether due to the speaker or listener, is probably a waste of time?
Thoughts not intended to be conveyed but which are perceived are not included in the present discussion!
Note in case the above didn't make sense: m stands for how steep the slope is, i.e. which axis the line of communication is more inclined towards.

Inspired during the Savai Gandharv Music Festival 2012
Words inspired by Hampi (from the empire of Vijaynagar)
To Hampi -
Pillars of gold, walls of might
a wonder they built, carved by day and night
Dams they laid and fountains fair
roads and squares with markets everywhere
by land and sea the traders came
silk, indigo, scent for sale
Scholars worked and poets sang
builders built and hammers rang
a city so fair, a reign so just
the roads never slept, the treasuries never shut
Rich and strong they were ever at war
for her repute was wide and far
The women were versed and the folk were free
the generals brave and the ministers wise
in a hand the sword and the other a quill
so lead them a king with strength and skill
But fall it must what comes to be
how high or noble or fair it be
to the tide of time it must fall
to dust, rain and fire and all
Now a fraction remains, as just a sign
a grandeur passed through the gates of time.
Reading it a few days after it was written I think it isn't worth saving here in blogger. But I'm saving it as a proof of being attached to myself.
